Dynamo Dresden has signed Brooklyn Ezeh as its first new player for the 2026/27 season. The 24-year-old left-back comes from Hannover 96 and thus receives a new chance in the 2. Bundesliga. Ezeh was under contract with the Lower Saxony team for the past three years, but on and off the pitch, he experienced difficult times. Hannover 96's new coach, Christian Titz, completely removed him from the squad in the previous season. Sören Gonther, Dynamo Dresden's sports director, emphasized: 'With Brooklyn, we were able to win a technically very well-trained player with great physicality for us.' Ezeh is expected to challenge the regular left-back, Alexander Rossipal, for his position. In total, Brooklyn Ezeh made only 25 competitive appearances for the first team during his time in Hannover. 'I'm already looking forward to the time together. The conversations with those responsible were very appreciative and gave me a very good feeling right away,' said Brooklyn Ezeh. The native Hamburg resident wants to build on Dynamo Dresden's strong second half of the season. Brooklyn Ezeh had been involved in a disturbance on a train in the fall of 2023 and was arrested after resisting police officers. As he recovered mentally, repeated injuries held him back. Now he wants to return to his old strength with Dynamo Dresden. Ezeh had previously played for SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the third division and had recommended himself for higher tasks with a strong season.
