Dynamo Dresden announces its third new signing. Nicolai Rapp is moving from league rivals Karlsruher SC to the Elbe. The defensive midfielder is joining on a free transfer and is set to fill the gap left by Kofi Amoako's move to Hamburger SV. Before Rapp, Dynamo had already signed Brooklyn Ezeh from Hannover 96 and Kaan Inanoglu from Eintracht Frankfurt. The club has not disclosed the contract lengths. Nicolai Rapp knows the league extremely well and can bring the necessary stability to a team with his playing style, and also provide important impulses for the game build-up, said Dynamo's sports managing director Sören Gonther. Rapp was trained at the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim youth academy. He gained second-tier experience at SpVgg Greuther Fürth, FC Erzgebirge Aue, 1. FC Union Berlin, and Darmstadt 98. He also played his first Bundesliga games for Werder Bremen. After a loan spell at 1. FC Kaiserslautern, he played for KSC since 2024. In total, the 29-year-old played nine Bundesliga games and 211 games in the 2. Bundesliga. Other clubs like Hannover 96 and Eintracht Frankfurt have already focused their attention on the transfer market. So the competition for the best players in the 2. Bundesliga is getting bigger. But Dynamo Dresden has taken an important step to strengthen the team with the transfer of Nicolai Rapp. The fans of Dynamo Dresden can look forward to an exciting season. With Nicolai Rapp on the team, the squad will certainly be even stronger. The transfer window is still open, and it will be interesting to see what other moves Dynamo Dresden will make. But for now, the focus is on the upcoming season and the chances of the team with Nicolai Rapp on board.
