Dynamo Dresden is planning for the new season and has a bargain duo in sight.

What's happening?

Tobias Raschl from Preußen Münster and Kenneth Schmidt from Fortuna Düsseldorf are set to join Dresden. The former German U21 national player Schmidt is still under contract in Düsseldorf until the end of June 2028, but his contract is not valid for the 3rd league.

Why is this important for Dynamo Dresden?

A transfer would be possible without a transfer fee and is therefore all the more attractive. Talks have already taken place. Since Schmidt is currently still suffering from a cruciate ligament rupture, the competition is likely to be limited.

What's next?

Dynamo Dresden is currently in 11th place in the 2. Bundesliga, with 41 points from 34 games and a recent form of WLWLW. The last results: | Date | Game | Result | | --- | --- | --- | | 2026-05-17 | Dynamo Dresden - Holstein Kiel | 2-1 | The next game: | Date | Game | Location | | --- | --- | --- | | 2026-08-01 | Dynamo Dresden - Union Berlin | Home game | Tobias Raschl spent most of his football education at BVB and played one professional game for the club. After stints at 1. FC Kaiserslautern and SpVgg Greuther Fürth, the midfielder joined Preußen Münster in early 2026. In Dresden, however, the 26-year-old is still seen as a reinforcement. Raschl's contract is also expiring, and a deal would be possible without a transfer fee.
