Dynamo Dresden is planning for the next season after securing league survival in the 2. Fußball-Bundesliga and has already set its sights on two new signings. A former BVB talent is reportedly on the radar to join the team.

What's happening?

Dynamo Dresden secured league survival with a strong finish in the 2. Fußball-Bundesliga and currently sits in 12th place with 32 points from 29 games.

Who are the new signings?

Tobias Raschl from Preußen Münster and Kenneth Schmidt from Fortuna Düsseldorf are rumored to be the new faces in Dynamo Dresden's squad. Raschl spent most of his football education at BVB and played one professional game for the club. Schmidt, on the other hand, is a former German U21 national player and is currently still under contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf until the end of June 2028.

Why is the transfer possible?

Kenneth Schmidt's contract is not valid for the 3. Liga, which makes a transfer without a fee possible. Talks between Dynamo Dresden and the players have already taken place. However, Schmidt is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament injury and will not be able to play again until next season.
