Dynamo Dresden experienced a violent match against Hertha BSC last Saturday. Fans from both sides stormed the interior of the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadium, pyrotechnic projectiles were thrown, and the game had to be interrupted for about 20 minutes.

What happened?

The situation escalated in the 20th minute of play, when fans of the Berlin club overcame a barrier and broke into the stadium's interior. Subsequently, about 60 Dresden supporters also overcame the barriers and moved towards the guest area.

Reactions from the clubs

Dynamo's managing director Stephan Zimmermann sharply condemned the incidents: „The images we saw tonight are not acceptable and harm not only our club, but the entire football in Germany massively“.

Consequences

The DFB control committee announced that it would initiate investigation proceedings against both clubs at the beginning of the new week. Both clubs face severe penalties.
