Dynamo Dresden is showing strong support for Lars Bünning, who is recovering from a life-threatening brain hemorrhage in a Hamburg clinic.

What happened?

The 2. Bundesliga team Dynamo Dresden is sending a strong message of support to the ailing Bünning. During their first preseason test match against Oberligist Budissa Bautzen on Friday evening, the team's jerseys featured a picture of Bünning on the right sleeve, along with the words: „Gemeinsam kämpfen!“

Team spirit at Dynamo Dresden

This gesture once again shows what all the players have been emphasizing, and what was also the key to their great second half of the season: The team spirit is strong, the locker room is a tight-knit group.

Operation for Lars Bünning

Lars Bünning himself transferred from 1. FC Kaiserslautern to Dynamo Dresden in 2023 and was one of the heroes of the promotion in the 2024/25 season. In the last series, he lost his starting position and only made 12 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga. Dynamo Dresden is currently in 11th place in the 2. Bundesliga with 41 points and a record of 11 wins, 8 draws, and 15 losses from 34 games.

Future prospects

Dynamo Dresden will face Union Berlin on August 1, 2026. The team hopes that Lars Bünning will soon be back on the pitch.
