Dynamo Dresden has failed in its appeal at the DFB Sports Court. The fines for the disturbances during the home game against Hertha BSC remain in place. The club was fined 91,200 euros and had two home games with partial spectator exclusion. The decision was made after the club's fans were involved in scandalous disturbances during the 2. Bundesliga game against Hertha BSC on April 4 (0:1). The club's management is considering further legal steps. The DFB Sports Court's chairman, Stephan Oberholz, said in his ruling: "I can hardly remember a case where pyrotechnics were used on such a large scale as a weapon against people." The court also ordered the next two home games to be played with the "K-Blocks" (K1 to K5) closed. For one of these games, the execution of the measure was suspended until June 30, 2027. In addition, the SG Dynamo and Hertha BSC were ordered to create and implement a joint security concept, including the DFB Security Department. These measures would also apply to a possible DFB Cup game between the two teams in the 2026/2027 season. An appeal to the DFB Federal Court can be filed within a week.
