Dynamo Dresden may soon sign a new right-back as Simon Straudi from Energie Cottbus is reportedly on the way. The 27-year-old player is leaving Cottbus as his contract expires at the end of June. According to TAG24, discussions are already underway behind the scenes, and the SGD appears to be the main contender for his signing. Last season, Dynamo Dresden struggled with their defense, especially on the right side. While Konrad Faber and Jonas Sterner were each on loan in the first and second halves of the season, that position is now vacant. The new sporting director Jonas Boldt wants to assess Sterner first, which could prolong negotiations. Thus, Straudi could fill a crucial gap in Dynamo Dresden's defense. The Italian has established himself as a regular player in Cottbus and could take the next step in his career in the Saxon capital. Additionally, he would reunite with former teammate Elias Bethke, which could ease his integration.
