Dynamo Dresden's finance chief Stephan Zimmermann has a mission. He will fight against the DFB's fine at the sports court. The club wants to reduce the fine for the Heimspiel against Hertha BSC. 91.200 Euro plus a game ban for the K-Block (plus one on probation) was imposed by the DFB in the single-instance proceedings. Dynamo lodged an appeal - on Friday at 12.30 pm, the oral hearing is in Frankfurt/M. "The collective fine, excluding 9000 people, is not goal-oriented from our point of view", Zimmermann makes clear. "We want to explain all our arguments, which we have already presented in detail in our statement, once again. Because from the indictment, as it was presented to us, we see some points not taken into account. Moreover, we see ourselves also somewhat unfairly punished, if one compares it with other judgments from the past." Example 1. FC Magdeburg: The FCM was also (besides 186.600 Euro) banned from fans for a game after the January disturbances, in which more than 70 police officers were injured. Meanwhile, the violence was much higher without the unpleasant incidents in the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion being justified. For example, a 29-year-old was charged with attempted murder on Thursday because he threw a 15-kilogram heavy paving stone with full force at the police officers in the police cordon. "Basically, it's about the fact that we feel that not all our arguments were heard, where we are of the opinion that these should already be included in the judgment", Zimmermann explains. And: "Of course, we will also fight for the K-Block, which is an important support for us, to be able to support us again at all home games in the new season. Just in the last home game, it was seen that the fans are an important factor. And therefore, we will fight for there to be no partial ban." Whether the appeal will be successful, is "then not in our hands", the finance boss admits. "We believe, however, that if we can present everything in a factual manner, as well as measures and steps, that the DFB sports court can also be moved then." It has also been shown in the last hearing in October 2025, when it was about incidents in Mannheim and Rostock. At that time, the SGD was represented by a Hamburg law firm. In the end, there was only a fine of 165,000 euros instead of the originally imposed 213,800 euros.
